It is a sad fact that every day in our community somebody is the victim of family or domestic violence, abuse which can take many forms. QIFVLS is a not-for-profit organisation which provides legal and counselling services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples suffering from the direct and indirect effects of domestic violence and sexual assault. As a regional Queensland outreach service, QIFVLS operates at a grass roots level and challenges the perception that domestic violence is in any way normal or acceptable. It is our ultimate aim to achieve justice and family wellbeing for all indigenous peoples.
